Tis the Reason for the Season

Find all our seasonal finds. Video Transcription: Hello, it's Jennifer here with City Farmhouse Antiques and I am here with this week's find of the week. I know we have not had a find of the week in a few weeks but I took some time off to enjoy Thanksgiving and be with my family. We didn't get to do that last year. I am hoping you all got to do the same. This week I am going to give you a little hint: the reason for the season. You can see this is the centerpiece of what I am going to show you. Each piece comes in its original packaging with the bags on them. This is a beautiful Giuseppe Armani porcelain hand painted nativity set. This actually seems to be a very rare nativity. In doing my research I don't find another set like it. I can find the pieces for sale and each one of these pieces are about 550.00 dollars. Most of the pieces are sold out if you can find them at all. So this is a very rare set and I think it is just breathtaking. To give you an idea of scale. These wise men are about 12 inches tall, and you can see the detail. Giuseppe Armani figurines are known for their detail. They are made in Italy. They are all marked as you can see there. They are made to look old. Here is Joseph. This is a 7 piece set. We have the 3 kings bearing gifts and Mary and Jesus and then we have of course the donkey and the blue ox. Here is the blue ox. Here is another wiseman. What I like about the set too of course other than the detail being impeccable, is that for the most part when you look at the set they have a matte finish but when you look closer at his long sleeve cloak you can see some of the pieces have a sheen. So they have a marbled type look and sheen that matches the marbled color on Mary's scarf that she wears over her head. Isn't that beautiful? There you can see they are all marked here and have their original tags on the bottom of each piece. They are just beautiful, beautiful. Again, a 7 piece set. I love nativities. They take me back to always seeing the nativities my grandmother had out every year and of course I enjoy the older looking ones and the more unique the better. I just love this set. We will have this set up on our website. Like I said, you can't find this entire set. Most of the pieces come with their own packaging and they all have their own original boxes.
